Archibald , a Scottish lad was the primary low-post scorer for Illinois and led
the BIG TEN in field goal percentage(.659%) This Paisley local averaged 10.6 ppg
on the season and was Illinois’s fourth leading scorer in Big Ten play at 10.9
ppg. He became second in the team in rebounding at 5.5 rpg which ranked 14th
in the Big ten. As a senior Robert scored 18 times in double figures and also
led Illinois in scoring five times. Archibald was selected third team Al big
Ten by league coaches and mention boards against Penn State thus making
11-12(.917) field goals for the second best shooting day in Illinois history. |
